Welcome to Healing Arts Therapy a mental health-focused, NDIS-funded support service designed to empower, uplift, and connect individuals through art, creativity, and community engagement.

We provide Healings Arts Therapy, psychosocial recovery-oriented support, social and community participation, and a unique 12-week Women's Art & Community Program to help NDIS participants express themselves, build confidence, and foster meaningful connections. 12-week NDIS Arts and Community Program.

Create & Connect is more than just an arts program — it’s a healing journey through creativity and community. Designed specifically for female NDIS participants, this unique program combines art, self-expression, and social connection to enhance mental well-being, confidence, and personal growth.

At Healing Arts Therapy, we believe in the power of art as therapy and community as healing. Create & Connect offers a safe, inclusive space where participants can:

Engage in Art & Creative Expression – Use painting, drawing, clay and more as a way to express emotions, reduce stress, and build self-awareness.

Connect with Others in a Supportive Environment – Meet like-minded individuals, form friendships, and reduce social isolation.

Develop Confidence & Self-Discovery – Through creativity, participants can explore their own strengths, emotions, and goals in a meaningful way.

Experience Holistic Mental Health Support – This program is holistically driven evidence-based, using arts therapy techniques to promote emotional healing, self-regulation, and personal growth.

What is Art Therapy

Hi, I’m Melinda—the heart behind this space,

I’m an Holisitc Intergrated Creative Arts Therapy Practitioner and independent mental health support worker and the founder of Create & Connect, Healing Arts Therapy & Mental Health Support Services. Dedicated to empowering individuals through creativity, connection, and community. With years of experience in mental health and psychosocial recovery support, I have witnessed firsthand how art, self-expression, and meaningful engagement can foster healing, resilience, and personal transformation.

My journey into this work has been shaped by a deep passion for holistic mental health support, especially for women navigating the complexities of life. I believe that art is more than just a creative outlet—it’s a tool for growth, confidence, and well-being.

That’s why I created the Women's NDIS Art & Community Program—a 12-week journey designed to bring women together in a safe, supportive space, where they can express, connect, and heal through art and shared experiences.
